OneNote Gets Dark Mode Support on Android

Posted February 26, 2020 | Android | Microsoft | OneNote for Android | Windows

Two major Microsoft apps are getting support for dark mode this week. Just earlier this morning, I wrote about OneDrive getting support for a new dark mode along with a tweaked design on Android, and now OneNote for Android is getting a major update, too.

Microsoft today announced a new update to OneNote for Android that introduces a new dark mode for Android phones and tablets. OneNote’s dark mode has been available on other platforms for a little while, so it’s nice to see the feature finally coming to Android as well.

The new update also introduces a couple of other new features, including a modern inking experience. The new inking experience allows for bright new colors, as well as two types of pens, highlighters, and erasers.

With the new update, users are now able to easily drag-and-drop to re-order pages and sections. You can simply tap and hold on a section/page and drag them around to reposition.  And lastly, there’s a new drag-to-sync feature that lets you simply drag down on a page to refresh the content and check for the latest updates.

You can get the latest update from the Google Play store here.
