Apple is expected to introduce a number of new audio products this year. The company is not only expected to introduce updated AirPods, but it’s also believed to be working on new over-the-ear headphones. Cupertino could also introduce new HomePods this year.

And now, it seems like Apple’s Beats might also release a new product this year. Beats launched the Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds back in April 2019, and it could be introducing a successor to the Powerbeats3 this year.

Apple’s successor to the Powerbeats3, the new Powerbeats4, seems to have recently passed the FCC. The model, A2015, could come with new hardware upgrades, and passing the FCC means a launch might be imminent. 9to5Mac also discovered the mention of “Powerbeats4” in iOS code back in December.

There haven’t been many details on what to expect from the Powerbeats4, but the obvious upgrades to expect here are Apple’s H1 chip and support for Hey Siri. It’s possible Apple could introduce some new colors, and improve sound quality with the Powerbeats4.

The new headphones could cost $199, just like the Powerbeats3, as the Powerbeats Pro cost $249. For now, it’s not clear when the new headphones might be official, but we will let you know when Apple makes things official.
