It’s official, Apple will be holding its next event on Tuesday, March 8. The event will be broadcasted online and it will kick off at the usual 10 AM PST time. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Marketing shared a short video teaser for the event today, with a “Peek performance” teaser.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple should announce a new low-cost 5G iPhone to succeed to the 2020 iPhone SE during the event. The company may also announce a new iPad Air that supports 5G connectivity, as well as “at least one new Mac” powered by Apple’s in-house ARM chips.

Apple still makes most of its revenue from iPhone sales, and the new 5G iPhone SE may well be Apple’s biggest product announcement next week: The new model is expected to use the same familiar design with a 4.7-inch screen and a Touch ID sensor, though Gurman expects to see a processor and camera upgrade in addition to the new 5G capabilities.

If a new 5G iPhone SE won’t be a really innovative product, Apple has reportedly many more new Apple Silicon Macs in the pipeline for later this year. “The company is planning a new entry-level MacBook Pro with an M2 chip, an upgraded Mac mini geared toward professionals and a higher-end iMac this year,” Gurman wrote today.
