Microsoft started rolling out a new build of Windows 10 20H1 to Insiders in the Fast Ring last evening, and it includes some new features for Insiders in the Fast Ring and a new feature for everyone else.

The new build of Windows 10, build 19018, introduces some improvements to the Search experience. There’s now a new feature called Quick Searches which essentially gives you four quick buttons that you can press to get some quick information.

The Quick Search feature is server-side, and Microsoft says it’s rolling out the changes to users in the US running builds from Windows 10 1809 to 20H1. That means the feature isn’t actually tied to this new Insider build, and it will be made available to users outside the US soon.

Quick Search has options for Weather, Top News, Today in History, and New Movies. The buttons appear within the Search Home, and you can simply click on them to get the top news, or the current weather, for example.

Microsoft says the company has also tweaked the design for web preview in search results for Insiders, but it won’t provide details on exactly what’s changed, and to me, it looks very identical to the previous design.
