The new M1 iMacs feature 4.5K Retina displays, slimmer bezels, and a smaller ‘chin’. The display measures only 11.5mm thin. Apple credits the streamlined form to the M1 chip’s SoC architecture, which also boosts the CPU performance by 85%.

The new iMac also features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with studio-quality mics and a six-speaker set-up with Dolby Atmos support. It’s undoubtedly the most powerful iMac and the display is particularly spectacular as Macworld Editor Karen Khan notes in her 4.5/5 star review. The only real drawback was the price – though that’s much less of a concern with £250 off!
