Moment 3 Arrives with a Whimper
Windows 11 version 22H2’s least momentous Moment has arrived with the release of KB5027231 to Windows Update: you can now upgrade Windows 11 22H2 to build 22621.1848 and Moment 3.
“This security update includes improvements that were a part of update KB5026446 (released May 24, 2023),” the release notes read. And that makes sense because KB5026446 was the preview release of Moment 3. I already explained what you can expect from this release, but among the few notable additions are access keys in Explorer (shown above), support for Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio, and small changes related to OneDrive, Widgets, and Alt-Tab.
But this non-preview update also includes a few other changes, including fixes for the Windows kernel, a Registry compatibility issue, and 32-bit apps that are large address aware.
If you already installed the preview update, your download will be smaller today, Microsoft says, because only the new updates contained in KB5027231 will be downloaded and installed on your PC. Otherwise, you’ll get both packages together.
