HP Revises Spectre x360 13 with 10th-Gen Core Processors

Posted September 30, 2019 | Hardware | HP | HP Spectre x360 | Windows | Windows 10

HP this morning launched its next-generation Spectre x360 premium convertible PC with 10-generation Intel Core processors, a smaller form factor, and numerous other improvements.

“Premium consumers desire beautiful, highly mobile devices that adapt to their on-the-go lifestyle,” HP vice president Kevin Frost said in a prepared statement. “The HP Spectre x360 13 combines the cultivation of innovative design and mobility, along with thoughtful security and performance capabilities that allows customers to pursue their passions without constraint.”

While the new Spectre x360 resembles its predecessor with its unique, hard-edged corners, it is fully 13 percent smaller and its upper panel features a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop weighs just 2.8. pounds and delivers up to 22 hours of battery life, depending on the display. And on that note, HP is now offering an optional 400-nit 4K OLED display with True Black HDR and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio.

As before, HP is placing the power button and a USB-C/power port in the device’s rear chamfered angled corners to maximize the port selection.

The HP Spectre x360 will ship in October and will start at $1100. I’m hoping to review this PC soon.
