HP Launches New Gaming PCs, Peripherals

HP today announced a new generation of its OMEN and Pavilion gaming PCs and peripherals that will launch starting today.

“Now, more than ever, gaming serves as an outlet for entertainment, social connection, and relaxation for gamers new and old,” HP director Judy Johnson says in a prepared statement. “HP continues to push progression in gaming by growing and evolving our world-class ecosystem with enhanced experiences through OMEN Command Center and innovative features found across our broad gaming portfolio.”

Here’s what’s new.

OMEN 15. The latest version of HP’s flagship gaming laptop can be had with 10th-generation Intel Core i7 H-series or AMD Ryzen 7 H-series processors, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics, up to 32 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB PCIe-based SSD or dual PCIe SSD in a RAID 0 configuration. Bigger still, it can be configured with up to 300 Hz Full HD or 120 Hz OLED UHD display. The OMEN 15 arrives today and starts at $999.

HP Pavilion Gaming 16. HP’s first ever 16-inch gaming laptop features up to 10th-generation Intel Core i7 processors up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics, micro-edge display bezels, and a 300 nits Full HD IPS display at 144 Hz. It arrives this month and starts at $799.99.

OMEN Vector mice. HP has two new mice, the OMEN Vector Mouse, with 16,000 dpi and with 99 percent accuracy, and the OMEN Vector Essential Mouse with up to 7,200 dpi. The mice arrive this month and cost $49.99 and $29.99, respectively.

HP X24c Gaming Monitor. This curved Full HD display provides AMD FreeSync Premium at 144 Hz and a built-in FPS counter. It arrives in October and will cost $249.99.

HP X1000 Wireless Gaming Headset. These over-the-ear headphones provide 7.1 virtual surround sound. It arrives in August and will cost $99.99.

HP Gaming Speakers X1000. This 2.1 system provides 30-watts of continuous power, a dedicated subwoofer for explosive bass, and RGB lighting options. They arrive in October and will cost $99.99.
