Google has been working quite a lot on Google Images lately. The company introduced a major update to Google Images back in August, and it’s now introducing a minor new update to further improve the search experience for users.

Google Images will soon get a new feature that will show users more details about pictures at a glance. The company announced that the new feature will be available to some users later this week.

The new feature involves Google Images showing icons to provide “useful” information on what type of pages the images on your search results lead to. For example, it will show icons for a product, a recipe, or a video. When you hover over these tags, Google will show useful information such a video’s length.

To make space for these new tags, Google will be getting rid of the image dimensions that currently appear when you hover over images in Google Search. The image dimensions can still be accessed after you actually open an image from the thumbnail, however.

Google is also testing a new tag that shows users more data on licensing information for images on search results, but that’s a very limited test for now.
