Google and Lenovo are launching a new category of Google Assistant products: Smart Clocks. Lenovo just announced its own Smart Clock powered by Google Assistant, and it’s one of the first Smart Clocks powered by Google Assistant.

Lenovo Smart Clock comes with a tiny 4-inch display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The idea behind the product is very simple — you can use it as a regular alarm clock and setup routines that will help you get started every day without much struggle.

You can, for example, setup a routine for the night which will automatically silence all the notifications on your phone, turn your smart lights off, and set an alarm for the morning. And when you are about to sleep, you can simply say “Hey Google, good night.” And for the morning, there’s an automatic wake-up routine that can progressively brighten your smart lights, and gradually increase the volume of your alarm, show today’s weather, take your phone off silent, etc.

You can also tap anywhere on the Smart Clock to snooze or dismiss the alarm.

The Smart Clock may be tiny but it actually comes with a full-range 6W speaker and two passive radiators on the inside for good audio output. Lenovo has tuned the speaker on the device to Dolby’s background noise reduction tech as well. The device features multi-room audio, so you can make it control a group of speakers, etc. There’s even a USB port on the back that you can use to charge your device which is pretty cool.

Lenovo’s new Smart Clock costs only $79.99 and it will be available this Spring.
