Disney+ had 103.6 million subscribers as of April 3, but the streaming video service failed to meet growth projections for the first time. The numbers were provided as part of Disney’s quarterly earnings report.

“Results at Disney+ were comparable to the prior-year quarter as an increase in subscribers was largely offset by higher programming and production, marketing and technology costs,” the Disney earnings announcement notes. The increases in subscribers and costs reflected the ongoing expansion of Disney+ including launches in additional markets.”

To that point, Disney reported 103.6 million subscribers by the end of the quarter, compared to 33.5 million in the year-ago quarter. But revenue per subscriber dropped to $3.99 from $5.63 one year ago, despite a price hike for the service.

Disney’s other services also reported strong growth. ESPN+ now has 13.8 million subscribers, up from 7.9 million a year earlier. Hulu has 41.6 million total subscribers, up from 32.1 million. Disney’s total revenues per subscriber across all services grew from $67.75 one year ago to $81.83.
