We’re about a month out from Microsoft Ignite, but Thurrott.com is already planning some fun events for the show.

Because Microsoft Ignite 2018 is on the eve of the two-year anniversary of Thurrott Premium, which started on October 3, 2016, we’d like to reward our Alpha and Premium members: The first 100 respondents are invited to join us at our annual private party at Microsoft Ignite, called Mas Fuel.

So if you’re going to be at the show, or will be in the Orlando area the week of September 23, 2018, please send me an email and let me know you are interested in attending. I won’t be able to respond right away, but I’ll email everyone who is invited with the details about the party.

On a related note, because many Alpha memberships are tied to that October 3 date, we’ll be sending out renewal emails in about a week. We’ll explain what’s happening in the email, but remember that Alpha members always get the lowest price on Thurrott Premium.

Brad and I will also be recording two episodes of the First First Ring Daily podcast live from the show. Curiously, we’re doing each from a different location this time.

The first live show is on Monday, September 24 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in what’s called the Podcast Pop-up in West Hall C. This is not the larger Podcast Studio, so we can’t really accommodate a live audience per se. That said, it’s right in the middle of West Hall C, so I think anyone can still show up and watch us in the terrarium.

The second live show is on Tuesday, September 25 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. This one will be held in the Podcast Studio, which does accommodate a live audience, in West Hall C. And for this reason, we’d like to do something special for anyone who can attend.

The first 20 people who show up for the podcast recording on Tuesday will get a Mas Fuel invite and a Thurrott.com t-shirt.

The next 20 will get a Thurrott.com t-shirt.

And one lucky winner will get a Surface Go tablet, the Mas Fuel invite, and a Thurrott.com t-shirt. And if they’re not already a Premium member, we’ll give them a one-year membership to Premium too!

You have to attend the Tuesday recording to win these prizes, of course.

Separately, Brad will also be joining Mary Jo and me—and, I assume, other tech bloggers attending the show—at our Windows Weekly meetup the week of Microsoft Ignite. As I write this, we’re still trying to schedule this event, but we’ll likely have it Sunday or Monday night that week. Everyone is invited, as it won’t be in the conference center where show passes are required.

And Mary Jo and I will be recording an episode of Windows Weekly live from the show as well. It’s scheduled for Tuesday, September 25 from 2:15 to 4:15 pm in the Podcast Studio in West Hall C. And yes, we can accommodate a live audience.
