Asus is revealing a new line of ZenBook laptops at IFA today. The company’s big focus in on the design of the devices this year, though they are also picking up performance upgrades.

The updated devices come with Intel’s new 8th gen Core i7 U-series processor, and up to the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Max-Q for the GPU. That’s all very minor, but Asus has made some significant changes to the design of these devices this year.

The company’s new line of ZenBook laptops is the world’s most compact laptops. They are not the thinnest, but they are smaller than ever before. For example, the new ZenBook 13, 14, and 15 now come with a NanoEdge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 95%. That’s pretty incredible for a laptop, considering that there’s still a webcam and an IR camera for Windows Hello on the top.

For the other ZenBook laptops, like the ZenBook Flip line, there’s been a 10% reduction in size across the board. They now feature a 90% screen-to-body ratio, combined with the ErgoLift hinge that lifts the keyboard up to provide a more comfortable typing position. The firm is also bringing the ZenBook Pro’s popular touchpad feature to the ZenBook Flip line, letting users turn the device’s touchpad into a number pad.

And then there’s the new ZenBook Pro 14, which features the company’s new ScreenPad tech that works much like the number pad on the ZenBook Flip. It features the new Core i7 U-Series processors, a 14-inch FHD display and the ErgoLift hinge. It comes with built-in support for Alexa, as well as Cortana. Asus is also revamping its VivoBook line of notebooks today, though those upgrades aren’t anything major.
