Acer Announces New PCs for CES

With CES getting underway in Las Vegas, Acer has announced new PC portables, desktops, workstations, and displays.

Here’s a rundown of what’s new:

TravelMate P6. This premium thin and light business notebook sports a magnesium/aluminum alloy chassis, optional 4G LTE connectivity, and Intel “Project Athena” compatibility. It weighs just 2.4 pounds, offers up to 23 hours of battery life, and can be charged to 50 percent capacity in just 45 minutes. It also features a Microsoft Teams-certified four-microphone array that picks up vocals from up to 6.5 feet away, Acer says. The TravelMate P6 debuts in North America in February for $1150 and up.

ConceptD 7 Ezel Series Convertible Notebooks. Acer is expanding its ConceptD line of PCs aimed at creatives with a new Ezel series of convertible notebooks that support five usage modes: sharing mode, floating mode, stand mode, pad mode, and display mode. Described as a desktop replacement that can be taken on the road, the ConceptD 7 Ezel series features 4K IPS displays, 10th-generation Intel Core H-series processors, up to 32 GB of RAM, up to 2 TB of SSD storage, and NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics. Not sure on availability, but prices start at $2700.

ConceptD 700 Workstation. The ConceptD 700 workstation is packed with Intel Xeon processors, NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 graphics, up to 64 GB of RAM, four internal drive bays, a unique thermal ventilation system, and an elegant design. It will cost $3100 and up.

Spin 5 and Spin 3. These new convertible notebooks are slimmer, ship with 2K or Full HD touch displays, and feature 360-degree hinges. The Spin 5 features a 13.5-inch 3:2 display and an integrated fingerprint reader, and weighs just 2.65 pounds. The new Spin 3 has a 14-inch 16:9 display and weighs 3.31 pounds. The Acer Spin 5 will start at $900 and will be available in June. The Acer Spin 3 will be available in in April and will start at $700.

Predator Gaming Monitors. Acer has announced three new Predator gaming monitors, the 32-inch Predator X32 with NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE, the 37.5-inch Predator X38 with a  2300R curved UWQHD+ panel, and the 55-inch Predator CG552K 4K OLED panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC. They are priced at $3600, $2400, and $3000, respectively, and will arrive in the coming months.
