Google to Launch Pixel 6 on October 19
Well, it’s official: Google will announce the much-anticipated Pixel 6 family of handsets during a virtual event on October 19.
Google has posted a new page to its website detailing the event, which will happen in two weeks, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.
“On October 19, we’re officially introducing you to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the completely reimagined Google phones,” a related FAQ explains. “Powered by Tensor, Google’s first custom mobile chip, they’re fast, smart, and secure. And they adapt to you.”
Anyone can watch the event live—it’s not just for journalists and bloggers—and it’s not live, but is rather a prerecorded livestream. If you can’t view the event at that time, you can replay it again at the same site (and, presumably, on YouTube).
I can’t wait: I’ll be purchasing a Pixel 6 Pro and hope to make it my new smartphone assuming there are no issues.
