Windows 10 Insider Preview 20170 Released with New Icon, Minor Updates

It’s that time of the week again where there is a new build of Windows 10 for those of you living in the Dev channel. This time around, it’s version 20170 that is being released.
In this release, there isn’t a lot new but a few notable updates include making it easier to see default sound devices. By going to Settings > System > Sound > Manage sound devices to now let you know which device is default, and if not, enable you to set it as your default device or default communication device.
In this release, there is also a new icon for Settings. While this isn’t that big of a change it is worth pointing out that this icon looks like it fits in more with Windows 10X than Windows 10 – it also doesn’t appear to follow the “fluent” design language either.
Aside from these changes, there is a show-stopping bug that will not let this version of Windows 10 run on AMD devices. Meaning, if you have an AMD CPU in your box, you won’t be able to download this release but the company says that this should be fixed with the next update.
If it’s not already downloading for you now, it should be available via Windows Update. Also, make sure to check out the known issues as well.
